Pianist Sehee Kim made her orchestral debut with the Seoul Symphony Orchestra at the age of 12. Currently an active recitalist, Ms. Kim has given concerts in Hungary, Czech Republic, Israel, Spain, South Korea, Canada and the United States. She has also performed at various music festivals including the Bowdoin Summer Music Festival in Maine, the New Paltz Piano Festival in New York State, the Tel-Aviv Piano Festival in Israel, Millennium International Piano Festival in Spain, and the International Keyboard Festival in Banff, Canada.
Ms. Kim made her New York debut at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall in 2004 as a winner of the Artists International Award. Last summer, as a winner of the Kumho Young Artist Award, she gave her Seoul debut recital at Kumho Art Hall in her native Korea. Other current performance engagements include an orchestral appearance with the Korean Symphony and recitals in South Korea.
Ms. Kim completed her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree with Veda Kaplinsky and Julian Martin at The Juilliard School. While at Juilliard, she was the recipient of numerous scholarships such as Irving Ruckens, A.Jones Memorial, Katherine Bacon, Alice Dreyfus Netter, Peter Jay Sharp, Lowell Memorial, Ezio Cingolani, and Howard & Ethel B. Ross Piano Scholarships. Last year, she completed her Artist Diploma with Marc Durand at the Glenn Gould School in Toronto.
